Seagulls, sandpipers, and herons by the shore with pelicans flying overhead on the gulf side and doves cooing in the palms land side. Sand dollars, sea oats, sea shells, and white sand lead you to the water's edge. We are conveniently located less than 5 miles from St Andrews State Park, a must see when you visit.
Within walking distance to Pineapple Willies (via the beach or South Thomas Drive sidewalks) Wonder Works and other dining and entertainment venues. A short ride to Pier Park for upscale shopping and dining. Alvin's Island a short walk or brief ride away.
Panama City Beach has a rich history of putt-putt golf, arcades, bungee jumping, Believe it or Not, Museum and the upside down Wonderworks, are, believe it or not just a stroll or a car ride away. If your tastes run to regular golf, Signal Hill golf course is just a couple of blocks away. Bike trails to pedal on and walking trails to hike, are all part of what Panama City Beach (PCB) offers. If fishing is your thing look out the back door, the gulf awaits you or grab a charter out of PC or Destin.
To the west the beach communities of Seaside, Blue Mountain Beach, Rosemary Beach, Grayton Beach and Destin offer fine dining and shopping which makes for a nice day trip (bring your wallet). To the east, Panama City proper and the lovely St. Andrews area, home to a marina and several great restaurants beloved by locals and visitors alike.
Of course, you don't have to leave the beach if do not wish to. Prepare your food at Dancing Dolphins and dine on your deck for a romantic sunset or family dinner...or veg out in front of the tube and watch whatever. It's your time at the beach.
Becky and I welcome you to our beach place and we hope you will make it your beach place as well. Visitors have asked why did you name your place "Dancing Dolphins"? Well, I could spin a tale about watching dolphins dancing on the horizon (we see them out there all the time, and you will too, if you look) but the answer is, we were both enamored with the tile thingie we bought at a consignment shop that you see hanging over the kitchen sink. Everyone has a name for their rental so Dancing Dolphins it became.
